Urban Green Dreams is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting fresh organic produce security, sustainable urban agriculture, and community wellness. Through UGD community gardening and schoolyard gardening programs, the organization transforms underutilized growing spaces into productive gardens that provide fresh, organic, healthy produce to school-aged children and local residents.
Volunteers are trained and actively engaged throughout the growing season to ensure consistent garden care and foster strong community partnerships. At harvest time, produce is carefully collected, cleaned, and sorted, with close attention paid to quality and yield tracking. The fresh produce is then distributed directly to community members through organized giveaways, local food pantries, and partnerships with schools and community centers.

Urban Green Dreams begins with strategic ground preparation, including soil testing, debris removal, soil enrichment with compost, and the installation of essential infrastructure such as raised beds and irrigation systems. Once planting is underway, crops are maintained through regular weeding, watering, mulching, feeding, and organic pest management.
